Active Living is a
way of life that integrates physical activity into daily
routines. The Active Living Programs promote active
communities – places where people can integrate physical
activity into their daily routines.
The Active Living Programs are designed for professionals,
advocates of health and physical activity, and anyone interested
in promoting safe, active and healthy lifestyles.
The mission of the programs is to promote active, healthy
environments by creating a national coalition of professional
leaders who have a stake in the health impacts of how places
are designed and built.
Active for Life is one of
six programs in the Active Living Programs supported
by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that collaborates
with more than 45 organizations concerned with physical
activity and environments that support activity.
